St. Agnes Academy
At St. Agnes Academy, we believe that all young women deserve access to a quality education. However, we recognize that Catholic school often constitutes a significant financial investment for students and their families.
To ensure your child has access to a
top-tier Catholic education, we are committed to providing the resources and support necessary to help make private schooling more accessible to students in need.
Here’s what you need to know about Catholic school cost and financial aid at St. Agnes to help you make a confident decision about your child’s education.
We Offer Financial Aid to Offset Catholic School Cost
As part of our ongoing efforts to make Catholic schooling more accessible to students of diverse backgrounds and abilities, St. Agnes is pleased to offer a
comprehensive financial aid program to support students with demonstrated financial need.
For example, during the recent 2023-2024 school year, roughly 20% of St. Agnes students received some amount of financial aid. The aid packages ranged from partial to full tuition scholarships.
As is the case for admissions as a whole, students and parents do not need to be registered parishioners of a Catholic church to be eligible for financial aid. Additionally, financial aid applications are considered separately from admissions applications. Therefore, families do not need to worry that their demonstrated financial need may negatively impact their child’s acceptance odds.
How to Apply for Financial Aid
Applying for financial aid at St. Agnes is straightforward. Families who wish to be considered for financial aid must complete an application via the Blackbaud Financial Aid Management platform on our website.
The application is used to assess a family’s financial situation, but it is worth noting that there is no income restriction on financial aid applications because St. Agnes Academy understands that each family’s financial situation is unique.
Financial aid decisions are rendered after admissions decisions based on the recommendations of our Financial Aid Committee. Financial aid status in no way impacts a student’s admissions decision, and financial aid applications will not be reviewed until after a student has been admitted to St. Agnes.
In subsequent school years, students are required to re-apply for financial assistance so the Financial Aid Committee can assess families’ financial situations on an ongoing basis. In most cases, however, families can expect to receive the same amount of tuition assistance each year, barring any significant changes to their financial situation.
Getting Started on Financial Aid Applications
To get started on a financial aid application at St. Agnes, the first step is to complete your application through the Blackbaud Financial Management Platform. This platform evaluates your application and generates a financial aid report, which the Financial Aid Committee at St. Agnes uses to determine your aid eligibility and the amount of the award.
It's crucial to submit your completed application – along with your most recent tax returns – by mid-December of the school year prior to the year for which you are seeking aid. This ensures your application is considered within the deadline.
Once your application is reviewed, you can expect to receive a financial aid decision via email each March. This process is designed to be transparent and supportive, assisting families in planning for their educational expenses at St. Agnes.
