Tiger Girls Dance Team – The Tiger Girls are St. Agnes Academy’s award-winning dance team that promotes school spirit and generates enthusiasm for St. Agnes Academy.

Dance Courses

Tiger Girls

The Tiger Girls are St. Agnes Academy’s award-winning dance team who perform during a variety of St. Agnes and Strake Jesuit athletic evets, dance competitions, St. Agnes pep rallies and the dance department’s annual shows. Tiger Girls is a dance family and strives to grow as a community cultivating lifelong friendship, leadership, teamwork, and discipline. All grade levels may audition.

The Tiger Girls Gameday Team participates in all athletic, school, and community performances. The Tiger Girls Competition Team attends local, regional, and national competitions from November-March each year, concluding with NDA Nationals in Orlando, Florida. Competition dancers are required to be enrolled in studio classes outside of Tiger Girls, and have additional obligations including choreography workshops, weekend practices, weekend competition attendance, and can expect to practice 5 days a week (the Gameday Team can expect 1-3 practices a week depending on time of year). Tiger Girls can be a member of one or both squads, based on a combination of preference and auditions.

24-25 Auditions

2024-2025 season auditions are scheduled for April 16 – 18.

Interested dancers may attend preview nights on March 19 and April 4 from 6-8:30 p.m. to participate in a practice and enjoy some pizza while asking any questions they have of current team members.

Audition clinics are required and will be held from 6-8 p.m. on April 16 and 17.

Auditions will be on April 18 from 6-9 p.m.

Captain interviews will be held from 6:15-7:40 a.m. on April 19.

At tryouts, dancers will indicate whether they would like to be considered for the Competition Team, Gameday Team, or both. Results will be posted to the Sauer Lobby doors and the stagnestigergirls Instagram page by 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 20.
Summer Practices and Camps

Summer practices are held on Monday evenings from 6-9 p.m. School year practices are held Monday-Friday from 6:15 - 7:40 a.m. All practices are held in the dance room. Tiger Girls will be eligible to earn a P.E. credit for membership.

Summer Camp will be held from July 10-13, 2024
July 10-11 for Competition Team dancers only
July 12-13 for Gameday Dancers only
Dancers on both squads must attend all 4 days.
Summer camp is mandatory for all Tiger Girls.
